Read Module - How it works
Reading God's Word is an essential element of a daily Quiet Time. God has revealed Himself to us through His Word.
1 Peter 2:2 "as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby"
Read Plan
The Read Module consists of some 260 pages. Each page has a Psalm of the Day, a Proverb of the Day, and a main Scripture part.
The text for these pages is derived from the Daily Truthbase blob written by Bill Cobb.. It is used with permission. More information about the structure and intent of the Daily Truthbase blog can be found here.
The bottom of each read page has a button to an index, and buttons to browse to the next and previouspage.
Deuteronomy 17:19 "And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes"
You do not have to sign up in order to read the text.

The Bible translation used in the Read Module is the World English Bible (WEB). It has been modified by Bill Cobb in order to place emphasis (using underlined and italic fonts). Long genealogies and detailed building descriptions have been removed for readability. And for some words that can have different translations, the different options are shown.
In addition to the Bible text, the pages also have a detailed commentary on the Bible text. The commentary is also taken from the Daily Truthbase blog. And each page has a Digging Deeper section, which gives some more background information about the text of that page.
